Three Bay Capital’s credit strategy seeks to engage in note financing to purchase individual or packaged loan portfolios directly from financial institutions. 3BC also can work directly with select borrowers to be a private lending solution. We originate our own deal flow and debt financing for each acquisition giving us additional structuring leverage.
3BC is agnostic to deal size, geography, and asset class but weighs the ability to attract capital to close the targeted transaction when deciding which opportunity to undertake. We believe investor sentiment favors direct deals that provide equity like returns within debt markets. Our preference is to become the private first lien lender in each acquisition.
3BC does not have a mandate as to which type of real estate assets we must target for acquisition but are guided by our ability to understand and operate the asset if needed. This allows us to originate deals that are not fully distressed but have the risk of becoming distressed or the borrower defaulting on their loan obligations. Our direct relationships with financial institutions and borrowers give us a proprietary deal pipeline that allows us to gain access to potential opportunities.
